Addis Ababa, April 29, 2026 — The Institute of Certified Public Accountants held its 2nd regular founders’ general assembly in Addis Ababa.
The main agenda of the meeting was to deliberate on and approve the Institute’s operational bylaw. The event was attended by Mr. Wubshet Tadele, Director General of the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia, who delivered the opening remarks.
In his speech, he emphasized the significant role of the accounting and auditing profession in building the country’s economy. He also highlighted the importance of ensuring professional independence and aligning the Institute’s bylaw with international standards while taking into account the national context.
