Addis Ababa, Ethiopia — A consultative forum focused on the valuation profession was successfully concluded on April 23, 2026 at the Sheraton Addis Hotel. The event was organized by the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia in collaboration with the World Bank.
Speaking at the event, the Director General of the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia, Ato Wubishet Tadele, noted that the efforts of the International Valuation Standards Council and the World Bank in maintaining global standards for the valuation profession are commendable.
He emphasized that financial reports are fundamentally based on valuation and highlighted key areas of work that need to be undertaken to ensure valuation practices comply with international standards.
The World Bank representative, Mr. Rajul, stressed that close collaboration between the government and stakeholders is critical for the development of the profession.
